InterTrace - A Livestock Population Database
InterTrace is an
integrated livestock population database that is designed to meet the
information needs of regulatory authorities, national veterinary
services, breed societies, livestock product quality assurance
organisations and others.
Summary description of
InterTrace

InterTrace meets
all of the requirements of current and projected European Union
legislation regarding animal traceability (pursuant to EC Regulation
1760/2000). The European Union Commission officially recognised the
InterTrace database for bovine animals as fully operational in Malta
from 1st May 2004. Malta is the only EU member state to have
achieved this status.

Applications are
developed as add-ons to an InterTrace database to satisfy the exact
requirements of the client. These applications are commonly
web-based or accessible via local or wide area networks

InterTrace is
multi-species, flexible in design and implementation, and readily
translated to new languages
